Social Networking

Social networking is a buzz word that everyone has heard by now, but not everyone knows what it is. Social networking is the science and art of networking in the digital realm by implementing AND integrating the tools of social networking to achieve your personal, professional and website’s success.

The larger the organization, the larger the need to social network, and need to monitor, maintain and participate in your social network. And you will be chasing a moving target. New social networking opportunities are born every minute. There are a small number of big players in the social networking world, and now with plugins and other functionality, you could even tackle the creation of your own social network generated by you! As amazing as it sounds, wordpress has a social networking project called “Buddypress,” and it has already begun to find uses where people don’t want to be part of something larger just to be a part of what you are doing. Think of it as a micro social network.

WordPress does everything it can to integrate the hottest social networks into its platform. You can install plugins for just about every important social network so that visitors can “tweet,” “Facebook recommend,” “+1,” and the list goes on.

You can also use your site to create tweets, tweet from posts, and more – AUTOMATICALLY. Social networking will occupy a significant part of a successful website creator’s time, so why make it any more difficult than it needs to be?
